The Brief

In early 2023, I was approached by BlueClay, a business brand & marketing specialist, and was asked to take over designing social media posts for many of their clients. One of which, was Toomey Family Law, a firm specialising in high-net worth family settlements.

The Design

Every post has to be a reflection of the Toomey Family Law brand. To help keep in line, I was provided an in-depth brand guide, along with a history of previous designs to reference and build upon. They're platform of choice was Canva, which already had all of their brand assets and allowed me to create quick graphics with the same consistent quality.

The challenge with designing for social media is that it's very different from other mediums. Someone scrolling through their phone is likely to see many designs, and will only study for a few seconds before moving on if they feel it's not worth their time. There is a need to create interesting, eye-catching graphics in order to hook the viewer, whilst also keeping things on-brand and professional.

In addition to their social media posts, I am also tasked with uploaded the clients monthly blog posts to their Webflow website. This consistents of implementing various essential SEO strategies to help rank high including correct heading formats, alt-tags, meta-descriptions, relevant tags and categorising. I also create one unique infographic per post to help summarise important information, these are then reformatted to fit social media posts and help promote their latest blog.

The Outcome

Since taking over the social media designs, both Toomey Family Law and BlueClay have been happy and we continue to work together on numerous projects. I schedule time each month to monitor their accounts performance using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights. All signs have pointed to consistently monthly growth since taking over.
